The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress expands its operations: Dozens of communities and organizations join the EAJC

On Monday, March 19, a festive luncheon was held in Jerusalem, hosted by the President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, Michael Mirilashvili, as part of the official visit of the World Jewish Congress delegation, led by Ronald Lauder, to Israel.

Michael Mirilashvili addressed the attendees, outlining the future prospects of the EAJC: "It is fair to say that after many years of stagnation, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress has been revitalized and is embarking on active operations. At the end of 2017, a record annual budget was approved. Since the beginning of 2018, the Congress has supported or initiated over 30 projects. Recently, we have been consistently receiving affiliation requests from communities worldwide: Thailand, Vietnam, China, Laos, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, South Korea, Turkey, and others. We have commenced supporting such major initiatives as Taglit and Limmud. Furthermore, we are establishing new partnerships, including with the Israel-Russia Business Council, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, the All-Russian Union of Jewish Students, the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia, and others."

The event was also attended by Minister Ze'ev Elkin, EAJC Chairman of the Board and WJC Vice-President Aaron Frenkel, EAJC First Vice-President Temur Khikhinashvili (Ben-Yehuda), WJC CEO Robert Singer, EAJC Vice-President Alexander Levin, EAJC Vice-President Alexander Bilinkis, EAJC Vice-President Maxim Pasik, EAJC Vice-President Rami Levy, community leaders, and other members of the WJC delegation.
