The Director General of the EAJC attended the forum on combating antisemitism in Jerusalem

Dr. Haim Ben Yakov, Director General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), attended the International Conference on Combating Antisemitism. The forum, held on March 26–27, 2025, at the Jerusalem International Convention Center, convened hundreds of experts, activists, diplomats, politicians, as well as state and public figures from Israel and around the globe.

The conference focused on analyzing contemporary antisemitism, particularly in light of the new challenges confronting Israel and Jewish communities following the tragic events of October 7. Key topics included the rise of online hate, violent incidents targeting Jewish individuals worldwide, and strategies for strengthening solidarity within the global Jewish community.

In his address, Dr. Haim Ben Yakov focused on the situation in the Euro-Asian region, emphasizing that "combating antisemitism today demands not only robust security mechanisms but also building bridges of mutual understanding between societies." He noted that in regions with historically complex socio-political conditions, ensuring a sustainable presence for Jewish life, education, and culture is of paramount importance.

Distinguished participants of the forum included Israel's President Isaac Herzog, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Minister of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Amichai Chikli, former Chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel Natan Sharansky, former US Ambassador to Israel Daniel Friedman, American actor and public activist Michael Rapaport, among others. 

The EAJC remains actively engaged in global initiatives aimed at countering antisemitism and reinforcing the security of Jewish communities across the Euro-Asian region and beyond.
