Dr. Haim Ben Yakov, Director General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, extended his greetings to the 17th Convention of the All-Israeli Association of Second World War Veterans and Fighters Against Nazism, which took place in Tel Aviv.
In his address, Dr. Ben Yakov expressed his gratitude to the veterans for their immortal heroism. He emphasized the critical importance of the Association’s efforts to preserve the historical heritage of the Jewish people and the memory of Jewish heroism in the 20th century in Israel, particularly at a time when, amidst crises and global catastrophes, there is an unprecedented rise in antisemitic sentiment worldwide.
The Director General of the Congress also highlighted the significance of cooperation with the Association and personally with its head, Donat Rappoport.
For many years, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress has supported the All-Israeli Association of Second World War Veterans and Fighters Against Nazism, by decision of President Mikhael Mirilashvili. We highly value our cooperation with an organization that unites individuals who have endured the devastating years of war, as well as the challenges of repatriation and integration in Israel.
