The Director General of the EAJC met with the Jewish communities of Lithuania, Latvia, and Sweden.

During his official visit, Dr. Chaim Ben Yakov, Director General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), met with representatives of the Jewish communities of Lithuania, Latvia, and Sweden. The discussions primarily focused on the rise of antisemitism within Europe and globally, particularly in light of the ongoing military conflict in the Middle East and the surge in global anti-Israel sentiment, as well as the strengthening of relations with the State of Israel.

During the visit, Dr. Ben Yakov also conducted seminars addressing the history of antisemitism in the USSR and post-Soviet states. These sessions explored themes from the book "Suitcase. Train Station. Israel," which examines key episodes of Soviet antisemitic policy: from the murder of Solomon Mikhoels and the suppression of the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee to the Doctors' Plot, the campaign against "rootless cosmopolitans," the state response to the Six-Day War, and the activities of the Anti-Zionist Committee in the late Soviet period. Particular emphasis was placed on the evolution of antisemitic rhetoric and its impact on the social and political climate both in the USSR and within the sovereign states that emerged following the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

The seminars garnered significant engagement in the context of contemporary global challenges.
