The leadership of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress congratulates Isaac (Bougie) Herzog on his victory in the Israeli presidential election.

Isaac Herzog, son of the 6th president, Chaim Herzog, and grandson of Isaac Halevi Herzog, Israel's first Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi, after whom he was named, was elected the 11th President of the State of Israel on June 2, 2021. Formerly the leader of the Labor Party and subsequently the Zionist Union political alliance, Herzog has held senior ministerial posts, served as Leader of the Opposition, and on August 1, 2018, assumed office as the Chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel (Sokhnut).

EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili addressed the President-elect in a personal letter, stating: "You have achieved a resounding victory in the presidential election. Secure in the support of 87 out of 120 Knesset members, your mandate is virtually unprecedented. On behalf of the EAJC leadership and myself personally, I extend my congratulations to you on became the President-elect of the State of Israel and wish you every success in this distinguished office."
