On September 5, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress hosted an online meeting for regional community and organizational leaders to extend congratulations on the upcoming autumn holidays.

The meeting was attended by the President of the EAJC, Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, Chairman of the EAJC Board, Aaron G. Frenkel, CEO of the EAJC, Dr. Haim Ben Yakov, alongside leaders of the Congress’s member communities and organizations. Representatives of the UAE Jewish community also attended the meeting as observers.

“It is with good reason that we wish each other a sweet new year and dip apples in honey during the traditional Rosh Hashanah festive meal. Our tradition commands us to do so, so that we may fully appreciate the good year that awaits us if we lead it uprightly—performing good deeds, supporting others, and fulfilling our duties. I wish to express my gratitude to you for your exemplary work toward securing the Jewish future of our region, and to wish you a year that reflects our highest aspirations as we partake in the traditional holiday simanim,” stated EAJC President, Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, in his address to the communities.

“The Rosh Hashanah holiday represents a new beginning, and we hope that the coming year, unlike those prior, will finally bring the opportunity for us to meet in person,” said Chairman of the EAJC Board, Aaron G. Frenkel.

In a special video address, Israel’s President, Isaac Herzog, also extended his congratulations to the leaders of the Jewish diaspora:
