EAJC leadership welcomes US President Joe Biden's visit to Israel

News

The leadership of the EAJC warmly welcomes the decision of US President Joe Biden to visit Israel for the signing of the 'Jerusalem U.S.-Israel Strategic Partnership Joint Declaration'. This document establishes a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation for years to come. By signing this agreement, the US administration intends to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to Israel's security and the preservation of its qualitative military edge to deter external threats.

It is our sincere hope that the subsequent visit of the US President to Saudi Arabia will further the regional normalization process. Expanding the 'Abraham Accords,' which have already strengthened relations between several Arab nations and Israel, no longer seems an elusive goal. Merely two years ago, the signing of the peace accords realized what had seemed impossible for decades, commencing a new chapter in the history of the Middle East, of which we are active participants today.

We also note that a key component of the joint declaration will be an agreement on technological cooperation. In this field, Israel becomes the fourth nation, alongside the United Kingdom, Japan, and Australia, with which the United States is establishing such close ties. We welcome these active diplomatic measures that strengthen relations between the United States and Israel.
