The leadership of the EAJC met with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Israel

Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, and Dr. Haim Ben-Yakov, Director General of the EAJC, met with Satybaldy Burshakov, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Israel.

During the meeting, the Ambassador assured the EAJC leadership of the firm and consistent stance of the Kazakh government in condemning antisemitism and supporting the Jewish community of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In turn, EAJC leadership expressed their readiness to facilitate the transfer of advanced Israeli technologies to serve the people of Kazakhstan. The EAJC is also prepared to actively assist in preparation for the upcoming official visits of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister Askar Mamin to Israel.

EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili emphasized the significance of Kazakhstan's voting record within international organizations regarding Israel.

“Kazakhstan is one of ten nations with a Muslim-majority population or state religion to have established diplomatic relations with Israel, and its Jewish community continues to thrive. We sincerely hope that our countries and peoples will continue to serve as an exemplar of strong partnership and constructive dialogue” — stated EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili.
