Mikhail Mirilashvili: "I have the ultimate partner — the Almighty"

Mikhael Mirilashvili, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, was interviewed by the "Moscow – Yerushalayim" magazine

In particular, Mikhael Mirilashvili outlined his vision for the EAJC mission:

Mikhael Mirilashvili:  "For nearly seventeen years, we have been uniting communities in countries where Jewish life had been eroded by an alien ideology—such as the nations of the former socialist camp—and countries where the Jewish population remained scattered and lacked community life for a long time, such as Singapore or Myanmar. We assist Jewish communities in strengthening ties between the diaspora and Israel, and we advocate for the rights and legitimate interests of the Jewish people of the Euro-Asian region in international organizations and at the state level. The Congress unites communities across 27 countries. Our communities include prominent state figures and representatives of national businesses. For many years, Israel was merely a political entity to them, a country in the Middle East. We demonstrate that Israel is not just their 'historical homeland,' but a place where their hearts truly belong."

Mikhael Mirilashvili also addressed the magazine's questions regarding his childhood, family Jewish traditions, antisemitism in Georgia, and his perspectives on sports, business, history, homeland, and faith.
