A delegation of young Israeli citizens with disabilities has visited Montenegro

News

In July 2019, the EAJC Regional Office in Montenegro, in cooperation with the Jewish Community of Montenegro, hosted a group of young individuals with disabilities visiting from Israel.

This marks the first time such an initiative was organized for a group of young Israeli Jewish, Muslim, and Christian citizens by AKIM Israel, a national organization supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.

During their stay in Montenegro, the delegation received a warm welcome from the local Jewish community. The folklore ensemble "Montenegro" from Podgorica performed a dedicated concert program. The event fostered an atmosphere of mutual appreciation, featuring communal singing and dancing.

This meaningful visit serves as an exemplary case of public diplomacy, which, transcending conventional barriers, fosters goodwill and mutual understanding among individuals.
