"Notnim Tikva" provides vital support to thousands of children

Operating within Israel's largest children's hospital at the Sheba Medical Center is "Notnim Tikva" ("Giving Hope"), a non-profit organization established to support sick children and their parents.

"Notnim Tikva" has already assisted thousands of children. The organization's initiatives include fundraising for complex surgeries abroad and medications not covered by the public healthcare basket, equipping children's playrooms and providing toys for hospital wards, among other endeavors. Just recently, representatives of "Notnim Tikva" arranged for a young oncology patient to meet her idol, a prominent children's theater star.

Dr. Haim Ben Yakov, Director General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, stated: "In these challenging times, as the coronavirus pandemic severely impacts the financial stability of various entities, particularly non-profit organizations, the EAJC strives to support those in most urgent need of our assistance. We are genuinely pleased to have been able to provide support to "Notnim Tikva" in their vital work with sick children and pediatric oncology patients. According to the Torah, all the people of Israel are responsible for one another. This principle gains even greater significance during a pandemic. It is our collective duty to assist those in need to the best of our ability, especially when it concerns children."
