On Thursday, December 3, 2020, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Program Committee held its official meeting. The online session was attended by Dr. Haim Ben Yakov, Director General of the EAJC; Evgenia Lvova, Committee Chair; and committee members: Iosif Axelrod (All-Ukrainian Jewish Congress and Director of the Hillel youth organization), Irina Shcherban (Chair of the CIS Community Houses Association), Vladimir Kritzman (Chairman of the Jewish Community of Kyrgyzstan and Jewish School Principal), and Inna Ioffe (Director of the Confederation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine). During the meeting, the commencement of the EAJC program planning for 2021 was formally announced.
While not being a funding foundation, the EAJC operates exclusively with structures representing national communities within the Congress. The criteria for projects and programs seeking EAJC funding are set forth in the Regulations on Program and Project Activities. The primary eligibility criterion for funding is alignment with the EAJC's strategic goals. A project or program is admitted for consideration by the Program Committee provided its objective is to fulfill one or more of the tasks outlined in the Regulations on Program and Project Activities.
