EAJC President Dr. Mikhail M. Mirilashvili welcomed the decision to conclude the agreement on the normalization of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

The agreement to normalize relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates constitutes a major milestone in the history of Arab-Israeli relations. Notably, while Israel and the UAE have maintained contacts across various sectors for a prolonged period, the complex geopolitical situation delayed the formalization of these ties. Thanks to the efforts of the nations' leaders, the normalization of bilateral relations has finally reached the finish line.

The normalization agreement and the development of the "road map," achieved through the mediation of US President Donald Trump, open up new and promising prospects for cooperation between states and peoples. Crucially, this agreement facilitates religious and cultural dialogue, fostering a new era of relations among the followers of the Abrahamic faiths. This approach, rooted in a mutual desire for deeper understanding, unlocks opportunities that will shape the development of the entire Middle Eastern region.

Today, public diplomacy plays a vital role in international dialogue, paving the way for mutually beneficial cultural, economic, scientific, and social cooperation. We hope that the Jewish community of the United Arab Emirates, together with the Jewish communities of the Euro-Asian region, will serve as a bridge for cooperation between the UAE, Israel, and the wider organized Jewish world.
