The EAJC President expressed his gratitude to President Trump

The Jerusalem Post published a personal address by Dr. Mikhail Mirilashvili, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, expressing gratitude to US President Donald Trump for his assistance to the Jewish State in eliminating the existential threat posed by the Iranian regime.

The full text of the address follows below:

“The President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, Dr. Mikhail Mirilashvili, alongside the leadership of the Congress, expresses profound gratitude to the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and the American people for their steadfast and resolute support in the just struggle against radical Islam, international terrorism, and the escalating nuclear threat posed by the Iranian regime.

Today, as the Middle East teeters on the brink of a major conflict, maintaining hope for peace and stability is of paramount importance. The tragedy of October 7 shocked the world. Israel initially received a powerful wave of solidarity; regrettably, however, this rapidly faded into oblivion, and our country was subjected to unprecedented international pressure.

Under these circumstances, the actions of the free world in confronting terrorism and nuclear blackmail must be defined solely by determination, courage, and a readiness to make responsible, strategically sound decisions.

Even the highest international accolade—the Nobel Peace Prize—cannot fully capture the magnitude of the efforts undertaken by the US President to contain the truly massive threat emanating from the Iranian regime. Furthermore, in today's world, there is unfortunately no honor capable of fully measuring the achievement of preventing a descent into global chaos, defending civilization, and establishing genuine conditions to advance the Abraham Accords and foster peaceful relations among the nations of the Middle East.

We trust that the entire international community—and above all, the United Nations—will exert every effort to establish a new, more just, and responsible world order that allows absolutely no room for complacency with evil, let alone submission to terror. The world must recognize the lessons of October 7: the failure to resist evil directly paves the way for its triumph. Only a decisive, unwavering opposition to terrorist ideology and its state sponsors can lay the foundation for a lasting and secure peace.

The path to peace, cooperation, and prosperity remains challenging but attainable. Global Jewry and the people of Israel stand ready to walk this path with faith, resilience, and an openness to honest dialogue.”
