The President of the EAJC congratulated the members of the WJC Board on their re-election to a four-year term

EAJC President Dr. Mikhail Mirilashvili congratulated the President of the World Jewish Congress (WJC), Ronald S. Lauder, the Chairman of the Governing Board, David de Rothschild, the Treasurer, Chella Safra, and other officers of the Congress elected for the new four-year term.

"It is a great honor for me to serve alongside Ronald S. Lauder in the leadership of the World Jewish Congress. The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress plays a vital role in the global Jewish community and actively represents the Euro-Asian region within organized world Jewry," said Dr. Mirilashvili.

The World Jewish Congress, representing 103 Jewish communities worldwide, unanimously declared its support for the State of Israel during the period of heavy rocket fire targeting its territory by the terrorist organization Hamas.

Concluding the 16th WJC Plenary Assembly, delegates outlined the necessary future actions to mitigate terrorist threats, counter global antisemitism, promote Jewish education, preserve Holocaust memory, and advance other critical objectives of the organized Jewish world.
