The President of the EAJC extended his congratulations to Muslims on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha holiday

Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, extended his congratulations to the Muslim communities across the Euro-Asian region and Israel on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, one of the most significant holidays in Islam. In his official congratulatory address, he stated:

“On behalf of the leadership of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, I extend my sincere congratulations to our partners and colleagues, the leaders and citizens of the Euro-Asian nations, as well as the Muslim community of Israel, on the occasion of the feast of sacrifice, Eid al-Adha.

As one of the central observances in Islam, this holiday marks the completion of the pilgrimage to the holy sites. It is a period defined by light, goodwill, and compassion. These days bring to the forefront the virtues of forgiveness, integrity, tolerance, and harmony as prescribed in holy scripture—the very humanistic values that have developed over centuries to form the foundation of healthy interstate, interfaith, and interpersonal relations. We witness their direct implementation in the close cooperation between regional state leaders and local Jewish communities, and we highly value its undeniable benefit for mutual progress.

During Eid al-Adha, Muslims worldwide foster mindfulness and responsiveness, guided by the tradition to welcome the holiday with pure thoughts, noble intentions, and hope for a better future. Particularly in these challenging times, these virtues carry a profound symbolic meaning, serving as an important guiding principle for both our contemporaries and future generations.
