The President of the EAJC extending his congratulations to the President of Ukraine on Independence Day

Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, President of the EAJC, extended his congratulations to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day.

The letter of congratulation reads, in particular:

“On behalf of the leadership of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress and on my own behalf, I would like to congratulate you and the entire Ukrainian nation on the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence!

Over these 30 years, Ukraine has emerged as a prime example of a strong, independent, and democratic society, achieving true prosperity. We wish you continuous progress along this path of steady development, and further success for your nation with each passing year.

We highly appreciate your attentive stance toward the Jewish community of Ukraine. The history of the Jewish people on Ukrainian soil spans many centuries, and the EAJC dedicates significant effort to preserving the historical and cultural heritage of Ukrainian Jewry. Furthermore, the EAJC places great emphasis on fostering community life and provides comprehensive support to social and educational projects. We sincerely hope for the continued development of strong relations between Ukraine and Israel, as well as between the Jewish and Ukrainian peoples.
