The President of the EAJC attended the celebration of US Independence Day in Jerusalem

Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, attended a gala reception in Jerusalem marking the United States Independence Day, hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Israel.

During the event, Dr. Mirilashvili met with the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, to express his profound gratitude for the steadfast support extended to Israel during these challenging times of conflict against Islamist terror in the Middle East.

The EAJC President stated:

“Against the backdrop of Israel's war against Islamist groups, initiated by the barbaric Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, 2023, the global spike in antisemitism demands urgent intervention and decisive action. President Donald Trump, along with other U.S. representatives, has been exemplary in leading these critical efforts. Measures such as withdrawing from the Iran-discredited UN Human Rights Council, suspending funding to UNRWA, and establishing an interagency group to combat hate within the United States represent only a fraction of the vital support the U.S. provides to Israel and the global Jewish community. For this courage and determination, we are deeply grateful to you personally, Mr. Ambassador, to the President of the United States, and to all our American partners.”
