The President of the EAJC held a working meeting with the Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gideon Sa'ar

Dr. Mikhail Mirilashvili, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), held a working meeting with Israel's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gideon Sa'ar. The talks took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem. The parties discussed strategic cooperation between the Congress and the Ministry amidst the ongoing rise of global antisemitism and the escalating campaign to delegitimize Israel in the media space in recent years.

Particular attention was dedicated to the coordination of state and public diplomacy across the Euro-Asian region. The Congress expressed its readiness to serve as a systematic partner to the Ministry in the region, proposing a mechanism for regular analytical exchange, crisis consultation, and policy coordination in international forums. It was emphasized that combining the state's traditional diplomatic instruments with public diplomacy could significantly enhance the efficacy of efforts to protect Israel's reputation as a leading Western democracy.

The EAJC President briefed the Minister on planned events marking the 35th anniversary of the EAJC, including the anniversary Assembly of the Congress scheduled to be held in Israel in June 2026. This assembly is poised to serve as an international platform gathering community leaders and public figures from the Euro-Asian region. Additionally, the parties addressed the expansion of the Abraham Accords.

Following the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to institutionalizing the partnership. A permanent working group has been established to outline concrete programs in the near future. The EAJC reaffirmed its commitment to a long-term strategic cooperation model with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, serving the interests of both the State of Israel and the Jewish communities in the region.
