Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, met in Tel Aviv with Donat Rappoport, Chairman of the All-Israeli Association of Second World War Veterans and Fighters Against Nazism.
The parties discussed future cooperation, emphasizing once key importance of the Association's activities in Israel in preserving the historical heritage of the Jewish people and the memory of the heroic deeds of Jewish soldiers during the devastating twentieth century.
Donat Rappoport succeeded the legendary leader of the organization, Avraham Grinzaid, who passed away in April 2024, as Chairman of the All-Israeli Association of Veterans and Fighters Against Nazism.
The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress has long supported the All-Israeli Association of Second World War Veterans and Fighters Against Nazism, under the leadership of President Michael Mirilashvili. We highly value our cooperation with an organization that unites those who endured the horrors of war, followed by the challenges of repatriation and integration in Israel.
“The contribution to the victory over Nazism during the Second World War is truly invaluable. While we may never fully comprehend the sacrifices you made and the horrors you endured, we can honor your heroism and do everything in our power to ensure your dignity in your golden years,” Dr. Mirilashvili stated following the meeting with Donat Rappoport.
