A high-ranking delegation of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, led by EAJC President Mikhael Mirilashvili, held a working meeting with Israel's Minister of Diaspora Affairs and Social Equality, Amichai Chikli. The talks took place at the ministry's office in Jerusalem.

During the meeting, the Congress leadership briefed the Minister on the organization's activities, detailed the severe humanitarian crisis within the Jewish communities of Ukraine, and highlighted the ongoing refugee crisis. The parties discussed potential avenues for cooperation.

EAJC President Dr. Mikhael Mirilashvili extended his congratulations and wished success to the newly appointed Minister Chikli, expressing his hope that the Israeli government would remain attentive and responsive to the needs of Jewish communities across the Euro-Asian region. The EAJC leadership proposed establishing a Diaspora Jewish Leadership Forum to convene and address critical issues facing world Jewish communities, including the proposed amendments to the Law of Return.

EAJC Director General Dr. Haim Ben Yakov emphasized the vital importance of regular consultations between the Israeli government and Diaspora communal leaders. "The Diaspora communities and the State of Israel constitute a single entity. Establishing such a platform will foster unity among the Jewish people and facilitate the formulation of balanced decisions on matters of fundamental importance to global Jewry," Dr. Ben Yakov stated.

Following the meeting, Minister Amichai Chikli remarked:

"I am delighted to have met with entrepreneur and philanthropist Mikhael Mirilashvili and the leadership of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress under his headship. This organization performs outstanding work across the entire post-Soviet space, alongside extensive endeavors within the State of Israel. On behalf of the Government of Israel, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mikhael and his team for their immense contribution to strengthening the State and the people of Israel."
