A solemn opening ceremony for the new "Shaar ha-Kodesh" ("Holy Gates") prayer hall in the western section of the Western Wall plaza, as well as the dedication of a mikveh built at the Yad Sarah organization's building in Israel, took place in Jerusalem. The mikveh was dedicated in honor of Daniela Rachel Frankel, the daughter of the Chairman of the Board of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), Aaron G. Frankel.
Both projects were completed with the support of Aaron G. Frankel and his family. The ceremony was led by Israel's former Chief Rabbi, Israel Meir Lau. The event was attended by the Director General of the EAJC, Dr. Haim Ben Yakov.
"The dedication of the new mikveh and the opening of the 'Shaar ha-Kodesh' prayer hall at the Western Wall are events imbued with the spirit of purity, continuity, and holiness. They resonate with the profound values that unite generations. These moments of spiritual elevation and unity have left a deep impression on the hearts of everyone present," noted Dr. Ben Yakov.
A video report of the ceremony is available on the EAJC YouTube channel. The congratulatory address by Aaron G. Frankel can also be viewed there.
The leadership of the EAJC remains committed to supporting initiatives aimed at preserving Jewish tradition, heritage, memory, and spiritual continuity.
