Supported by the EAJC, the St. Petersburg Jewish Culture Festival 'OY!VEY' will take place on August 25.

On August 25, the MORZE Club at Sevkabel Port (St. Petersburg, Russia) will host the major Jewish culture festival "Oy! Vey." For one day, attendees will be transported to the markets and streets of Tel Aviv to sample authentic cuisine, enjoy vibrant live music, meet prominent local media figures, participate in various workshops, and engage with Jewish traditions and contemporary Israeli culture. The festival is organized by Hillel Jewish Student Center in St. Petersburg, with the support of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, in partnership with the Svetlaya Muzyka concert agency, which is also responsible for the event's musical lineup.

Headlining the musical program is Malabi Tropical, an Israeli band that has been touring non-stop since 2014. They will demonstrate the fusion of Latin rhythms and Jewish melodies in a cohesive tropical groove. From street parties to Eurasia's largest festivals, their live performances consistently captivate audiences. Joining them is Dobranotch, a St. Petersburg-based brass band that has been unrivaled in performing Jewish folklore and Odessa songs for 20 years. Their performances are renowned for prompting active audience participation and dancing, creating an increasingly festive atmosphere.

The central concept of the festival is to immerse visitors in the atmosphere of Tel Aviv, busiest city in Israel. The venue will feature vendors selling traditional sweets and jewelry, enticing cafes, and live musical performances. The event will also feature street artists, travelers, rabbis, artisans, and other notable personalities, each offering unique insights. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with a new cultural experience through this structured festival format.
