"Shoah" — a new special project of the EAJC

Another Yom HaShoah has passed, a day when we once again commemorate the catastrophe of our people. Aside from the 26th of Nisan, there are several other dates we dedicate, in whole or in part, to the memory of the Holocaust victims. However, this trauma is too profound, and these events are far too significant for our people, to restrict such a solemn subject to just a few days of the year.

On the other side, there are those who have dedicated their entire lives to the in-depth study of the Holocaust, for whom this subject is not encapsulated in select dates, but is a matter of daily labor. Thanks to their noble efforts, we now have 4.7 million documented names, databases, archives, and entire institutions dedicated to Holocaust research.

We at the EAJC aim to bridge these two worlds. Our goal is to enable general users to periodically engage with the history of the Holocaust through various content formats without getting lost in vast amounts of academic research. To this end, following the days of remembrance, we are launching the EAJC special project "SHOAH" shoah.eajc.org—a platform designed to aggregate curated content, initiatives, and online projects that present the events and issues of the Holocaust through interactive formats across various themes, in an accessible language and with intuitive navigation.

A series of materials is already available on the platform, and we plan to update the page with new projects throughout the year. We invite you to subscribe to our channels to receive timely updates.
