Theatrical production on Anne Frank debuts on Montenegrin stages

The stage adaptation of "The Diary of Anne Frank," the most renowned book on the Holocaust, has been presented for the first time in cities across Montenegro, with the support of the EAJC.

The premiere of this exceptional play took place on June 11 at the Budo Tomović Cultural Center in Podgorica. Subsequent successful performances were held in Nikšić on June 15 and in Bijelo Polje on June 16. The production resonated deeply with the young audience.

The production based on Anne Frank's diary will be presented to young audiences in 15 Montenegrin cities, serving as a reminder of the inhuman tragedy of the Holocaust.

"Thanks to the cooperation between the Jewish Community of Montenegro and the Akord Cultural and Creative Center, the youth of Montenegro have the opportunity to experience this unique production. Against the backdrop of a rising wave of antisemitism, remembering the tragedy of Anne Frank becomes more critical than ever," stated EAJC President Michael Mirilashvili.

"The tragedy of the young Jewish girl and her family remains one of the most profound and significant stories of humanity. We are proud that the efforts of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress to introduce the youth of Montenegro to this unique production have succeeded," stated EAJC Director General Haim Ben Yakov.
