The Yad Sarah Frenkel Urgent Medical Care Center Has Won the Medical Initiatives Award

The Yad Sarah Frenkel Urgent Medical Center has won the annual Leading Health Initiative award in the category of leading initiative by a non-profit medical organization and contribution to public healthcare in Israel. The competition is held annually by the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Ynet, and the Reboot Forum.

The Yad Sarah Frenkel Medical Center was opened in Israel in 2017 with the support of businessman and philanthropist Aaron G. Frenkel, who serves as Chairman of the Board of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. The center provides supplementary emergency medical services and helps reduce the burden on hospital emergency rooms by offering equivalent medical care to patients.

"The critical importance of a well-functioning healthcare system in any nation has never been in doubt, but we have become especially convinced of this over the past two years during the severe global health crisis. In such challenging times, public initiatives must bolster the state system, and we bear a shared responsibility to preserve lives and public health in the State of Israel. I am pleased that our successfully operating center is fulfilling its mission, and I am grateful to the award organizers for this recognition," said Aaron G. Frenkel.

Significantly, last year the Chairman of the EAJC Board, Aaron G. Frenkel, played a key role in supporting Israel through the pandemic crisis by providing five cargo planes of medical equipment and donating 14 million shekels to combat COVID-19.
