The "Alley of Immigrant Scientists" Has Been Opened in the Negev with the Participation of the EAJC

Today (June 16), the official opening of the "Immigrant Scientists Grove" took place in Kibbutz Ruhama in the Negev. The event was attended by Dr. Michael Mirilashvili, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), Advocate Amir Schneider, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF), Dr. Haim Ben-Yakov, Director General of the EAJC, Roni Vinnikov, Deputy Chairman of KKL-JNF, Mr. Igal Yasinov, Director General of JNF-KKL Eurasia, Prof. Ze'ev Khanin, Chairman of the Academic Council of the Institute for Euro-Asian Jewish Studies, as well as immigrant scientists from the former Soviet Union.

The "Immigrant Scientists Grove," planted by the Fund, was established with the generous support of the EAJC in recognition of the outstanding contribution of immigrant scientists to the advancement of Israeli science. All scientists present at the inauguration of the grove were presented with certificates of appreciation on behalf of the leaders of the EAJC and KKL-JNF.

During the ceremony, EAJC President Dr. Michael Mirilashvili stated: "Today, we pay tribute to the immigrant scientists who have made an immense personal contribution to the development of the State of Israel. We take pride in their achievements, their success, their determination, and the fact that despite all the hardships associated with repatriation and absorption, they succeeded in advancing Israeli science and elevating it to a new level.

The 'Immigrant Scientists Grove' serves as an expression of our gratitude and appreciation to all scientists, researchers, and higher education professionals who have immigrated to Israel. To be a scientist and to guide society along the path of progress is a noble and highly responsible mission, and you, our esteemed immigrant scientists, have accomplished this with distinction."
