Samara Successfully Hosts Mother-Daughter Shabbaton

Samara hosted the "Mothers and Daughters" Shabbaton, supported by the EAJC and organized by the Project Kesher Jewish women's organization as part of the "L'dor V'dor. The Power of Generations" project.

Mothers and daughters from five Russian cities—Samara, Saratov, Kaluga, Ufa, and Ulyanovsk—gathered to learn more about their roots and engage in a deeper exploration of Jewish spiritual values.

The seminar was designed and conducted by a professional team from Project Kesher: Inna Motornaya, Natalya Babayan, and Alexandra Kalinina.

The participants engaged in active discussions of Jewish texts, explored biblical female roles, and focused extensively on charitable deeds that families can perform both within and beyond the community.

As a result of this dynamic process, the Shabbaton participants outlined a contemporary upbringing model based on the Jewish value system. Both mothers and daughters acquired new knowledge and strengthened their relationships through collaborative creative activities.

Considerable time was dedicated to productive discussions on good deeds and family volunteering within and beyond the Jewish community. The final day was focused on planning future activities across various cities as part of the "L'dor V'dor. The Power of Generations" project.

The "Mothers and Daughters" Shabbaton in Samara is one of five scheduled meetings within this project, aimed at preserving intergenerational connections and family-centered Jewish spiritual traditions.
