The EAJC delegation's visit to Kazakhstan. The Head of the Government of Kazakhstan plans to visit Israel.

On Monday, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with a delegation of international Jewish leaders headed by Michael Mirilashvili, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC).

The meeting was also attended by Aaron Frenkel, Chairman of the EAJC Governing Board, and Berel Lazar, Chief Rabbi of Russia and Head of the Rabbinical Council of the CIS.

The parties noted that the Jewish community in Kazakhstan is actively developing and receives the necessary state support. The delegation members requested President Tokayev to consider supporting Israel within international organizations and expressed gratitude to the Head of State for his consistent condemnation of antisemitism and ongoing support for the Jewish community.

The discussion covered a wide range of issues concerning the status of the Jewish community and bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Israel.

In addition to the meeting with the President of Kazakhstan, the delegation of Jewish leaders met with Prime Minister Askar Mamin, who announced his upcoming official visit to Israel at the invitation of Prime Minister B. Netanyahu and expressed hope for an increase in trade volume between the two states.

The delegation held working meetings with Liat Wexelman, Ambassador of Israel to Kazakhstan, as well as religious and secular leaders of Jewish communities from all regions of Kazakhstan, which receive support and assistance from the EAJC.

Delegation representatives also participated in the session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.

Following their visit to Kazakhstan, the delegation departed for Azerbaijan to continue a series of high-level meetings.

The delegation included EAJC President Michael Mirilashvili, Chairman of the EAJC Governing Board Aaron Frenkel, First Vice-President of the EAJC Teimuraz Ben-Yehuda, EAJC Director General Haim Ben-Yakov, EAJC Treasurer Menachem Bushuev, Chairman of the Association of Jewish Communities of Kazakhstan Alexander Baron, and Chief Rabbi of Kazakhstan Yeshaya Cohen.
