We offer our profound condolences to the family and loved ones of Yashar Alfandari.

On behalf of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Jasa Alfandari, as well as to the entire Jewish community of Montenegro. Mr. Alfandari dedicated many years of his life to reviving the Jewish community of his country. He was a true friend to the people of Montenegro and succeeded in building a strong bridge between this young nation and the State of Israel. This is a difficult day for Jewish people across the Balkan region, which has endured much adversity. We will do everything in our power to ensure that Mr. Alfandari’s life’s work — the revival of Jewish life in Montenegro — continues.
