The EAJC has published the 5785 Annual Report

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) has published the Yearbook 'Jews of Europe and Asia: Status, Heritage, and Perspectives' for 2024-25 (5785 according to the Jewish calendar). The volume was prepared by the Institute for Euro-Asian Jewish Studies (IEAJS) in cooperation with the Institute of Jewish Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

The EAJC Yearbook is a large-scale academic project that brings together research on how Jewish communities of the Euro-Asian region, Eastern Europe, and the global diaspora of immigrants from these countries live and evolve. The new edition features sociological, historical, and cultural studies on the state of the communities, the rise of antisemitism, the preservation of Holocaust memory, and the cultural and social processes that shape contemporary Jewish life.

In the foreword to the Yearbook, EAJC President Dr. Mikhail Mirilashvili emphasized that over the years, the Institute for Euro-Asian Jewish Studies has become an important platform for systemic research within the region. Its completed projects include large-scale studies and publications in partnership with leading academic centers. The Yearbook, he noted, remains a key project that documents current trends and facilitates a better understanding of ongoing developments.

"The EAJC Yearbook can confidently be called our flagship project, providing a comprehensive overview of the social, political, cultural, and other aspects of life in the Jewish communities of the Euro-Asian region and their emigrant populations. We hope that these publications will generate interest within the academic community and serve as a valuable source of relevant information for government bodies, public officials, community leaders, and the heads of Jewish organizations in our region," Mirilashvili stated.

The volume presents works by researchers from various countries focusing on modern challenges and transformations: from shifts in community life and migration processes to new forms of antisemitism and socio-political changes.

Launched in 2018 under the auspices of the EAJC, the Institute for Euro-Asian Jewish Studies is an international platform for academic and professional dialogue, bringing together experts, researchers, and practitioners studying the Jewish communities of the post-Soviet space, Eastern Europe, and Eurasia.
