The EAJC congratulates Irit Oren Gunders on being awarded the Israel Prize

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress extends its warmest congratulations to Irit Oren Gunders, the founder of the "Or la-Mishpachot" (Light for Families) organization, on being awarded the Israel Prize.

This prestigious recognition is a well-deserved tribute to her years of dedicated service, aimed at developing socially significant initiatives, strengthening humanitarian values, and providing assistance to those in need. For many years, "Or la-Mishpachot — Light for Families" has carried out vital and inspiring work, bringing people together around the ideals of mutual support, responsibility, and human dignity.

The non-profit organization "Or la-Mishpachot," founded in 2008 by retired Lieutenant Colonel Irit Oren Gunders, is dedicated to supporting parents who have lost children in Israel's wars. The primary mission of "Or la-Mishpachot" is to provide year-round support to the parents of fallen soldiers, who often fall into severe depression following the loss of their loved ones.
