The Integration Youth Camp

The “Integration” children's camp is an international initiative dedicated to supporting children with disabilities.

Serving as a day-camp platform, it facilitates the integration of families with special needs children into the wider public sphere and the Jewish community. This project has been active at the Moscow Jewish Community House since 2004. For several years, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress has actively supported the camp's operations and sponsored events designed to ensure optimal social adaptation, enabling these families to establish meaningful connections with society.

Furthermore, the camp fosters reverse integration. By interacting with special needs children, mainstream children grow more open, tolerant, understanding, and accepting of those who are "different." This environment cultivates a genuine willingness and readiness to offer support, while dismantling unfounded fears and prejudices.

The project enables families with disabled children to participate in guided tours alongside mainstream peers on equal terms, exploring the historical heritage of our people, broadening their horizons, and gaining new experiences. During workshops and classes, a creative atmosphere unites all participants. Children with special needs acquire valuable group-work skills and learn to see tasks through to completion.

The initiative is executed with the professional support of psychologists, social workers, and art educators. Psychological guidance enhances family morale and strengthens domestic relationships. Due to the project's proven success, new participants continuously join our community in seeking meaningful support.
