Professor Ze'ev Khanin Delivered a Lecture at the Stern Readings

The ANU Museum of the Jewish People in Tel Aviv hosted the fourteenth "Stern Readings" conference, with the support of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC). The forum focused on "Emergency Aliyah to Israel: Causes, Motives, and Integration Challenges."

During the conference, Professor Ze'ev Khanin, Chairman of the Academic Board of the Institute for Euro-Asian Jewish Studies (IEAJS), delivered a lecture titled "Emergency Olim from the Former Soviet Union: Socio-Demographic Profile and Identity." He presented the findings of a sociological study exploring the national, ethnic, and religious identity of the "newest olim to Israel."

The Stern Readings is an annual Israeli forum dedicated to the memory of the late Knesset Member Dr. Yuri Stern. A primary focus of Dr. Stern’s work was supporting Jewish communities, strengthening ties between Israel and the Diaspora based on the values and traditions of the Jewish people, promoting tolerance, and combating xenophobia and antisemitism.
