Matvei Hutman

Vice President

Matvei Hutman was born in 1976 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. In 1999 he received a degree in international economics at the University of Vienna in Austria. Since 1997, he has been successfully doing business in various countries of Western and Eastern Europe.

In 2014, Matvei Hutman was elected Treasurer of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress by the delegates of the EAJC General Assembly in Jerusalem. Along with this, for many years he headed the Asset Management and Private Banking Department of Meinl Bank AG Austria.

Since 2016, Matvei Hutman has been the head and co-owner of the largest textile company in Austria – Palmers Textil AG, and also a co-owner of the Austrian company Valetono Development GmbH.

Matvei Hutman takes an active position in social activities and pays considerable attention to the fight against anti-Semitism and observance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was created together with the World Jewish Congress (WJC) representatives. Given the global crisis due to the war in Ukraine, the main and significant project has become a charitable initiative under the auspices of Palmers, designed to help refugees from Ukraine by providing them with housing, primary counseling, supplying medicines and food to the civilians affected by the hostilities.

For more than 20 years, Matvei Hutman has been supporting charitable projects in the field of education, medical and social security of Jewish communities, regardless of territorial affiliation.
