Kyrgyzstan

While the first Jewish settlers arrived in Kyrgyzstan nearly a thousand years ago, the Jewish community only began to take shape during the latter half of the 19th century. A synagogue was established in Bishkek in 1941. Since the early 1990s, more than 5,000 individuals have emigrated from the country.

Currently, the majority of Kyrgyzstan's Jewish population resides in Bishkek. The capital hosts an active Jewish community, featuring an operational synagogue with daily services, alongside a Jewish general education school. Additionally, the JFuture Sunday Jewish Educational School operates in Bishkek.
